TALKING ABOUT THINGS / EPISODE 1
American Philosophical Society

Greenhouse Media (GhM) produced a short documentary for the American Philosophical Society Museum (APS). This documentary is the first in an ongoing series of film portraits of distinguished APS members told through the members' selection of objects, artworks and documents from the APS's amazing permanent collection.

This episode features APS member and linguist Michael Silverstein discussing Lewis & Clark's journals and how they inspired his own career studying Native American languages. Other episodes include footage and discussion of Darwin's original design for the title page of On the Origin of Species and Benjamin Franklin's personal copy of the Constitution of the United States.
